Two new songs are out now through my Bandcamp page
This is the second installment of Letters…
The sun comes o’er the mountains
Night sky turns red
Fog lies in the valley
Blue hills still wet
Birds sing songs of morning
Green trees still gray
House light on the hillside
Frog outlasts the cricket
Old dog still sleeps
Cold grass in the backyard
Crawdads in the creek
Life seemed much bigger
when I stood here before now.
I want you to see through my eyes
Hear as I hear
All that’s lost
when I’m without you.
These songs are letters put to music. They are the culmination of trying to not only lyrically and musically tell a story, but sonically. I hope I came close to hitting the mark.
And I hope you like them and share them with all your people.

Just wanted to give a quick heads up that I’m playing tonight… Monday, 2/25 at the amazing Hotel Cafe as part of a long-running songwriter night. The room is legendary and it’s an honor to play there. I go on at 9:30 for a short set on the second stage – the night is called Monday Monday. I’ll be singing and playing some new stuff.
I’m excited to share a new record that I’ve really enjoyed working on. The title pretty much sums it up… It’s a record about the plight of sleeping in the 21st century. So if you’re reading this in a different century, you probably won’t get it.
You can listen, purchase and share it with the player here…
You can check it out on all major online platforms by clicking here.
I’d like to share a new song/video from an upcoming songwriting record I’m working on. It’s called “It’s Tomorrow (Everywhere but Here)”. It features beautiful playing by Timothy Young on guitar, Matt Hankle on drums and Forrest Giberson on bass.
Here it is…
If you’re getting this via email and can’t play the video, click here.
Here’s a new emo number called “10,000 Miles”. This one has been years in the making and one of the toughest songs I’ve ever worked on for both technical and emotional reasons. I hope you like it.

Anna Freedman has released her new single, “Big Plans”. I’m really excited because the record turned out great and it’s my first release as a producer/mixer/arranger (besides my own music). Many of you may recall the series I did on how to make a record in this blog. I wanted to announce the official release with you here, in this post.
